10′ 7wt. switch rod component kit

Description

We designed this blank with steelhead fishing in mind. Living in the Great Lakes region a 10′ 7wt. is perfect for many of the rivers where a full spey might be too large. The medium/fast action is excellentfor indicator rigs and can even handle a nice range of tips or T14 when you need to get your flies down deep.

We chose a raw carbon finish with a semi-gloss top coat for the blank. This allows a neutral pallet that opens wide the range of hardware and thread colors that will work.

We shipped all of our new blanks to Steve Godshall, who works with the top spey and switch rod/line designers in the world. Steve put all of our blanks through the ranks and has provide custom guide spacing and line grain recommendations. We will be adding links to specific lines soon. This kit can be customized with the drop down menus to the right. You can select the grip, reel seat hardware, reel seat insert, and guide set color. The guide set comes complete with a hand fit tip top, full set of guides, stripping guide, hand fit winding check, and a hook keeper.
